Mandala Season 2026–2027
The sacred Mandala Kalam holds a special place in the hearts of Bhagwan Ayyappa devotees. Traditionally observed over a period of approximately 41 days, it is a time dedicated to devotion, spiritual discipline, self-purification, and surrender to Bhagwan Ayyappa.
During this sacred period, devotees undertake Ayyappa Vratham, chant Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa, practice self-restraint, participate in prayers, and prepare themselves spiritually for the Sabarimala pilgrimage.
At Ayyappa Teertha Kshetram – Hasmathpet, we welcome devotees to visit the temple, offer prayers, participate in available poojas and sevas, and seek the blessings of Bhagwan Ayyappa during this auspicious season.
Spiritual Significance of Mandala Kalam
Mandala Kalam reminds devotees of the importance of:
- Devotion (Bhakti): Remembering Bhagwan Ayyappa through prayer, chanting, and worship.
- Discipline: Following the principles of Ayyappa Vratham with sincerity and commitment.
- Equality: Treating fellow devotees with respect and addressing one another as Swamy.
- Purity: Cultivating purity in thoughts, words, and actions.
- Seva: Serving others with humility, compassion, and a spirit of selflessness.
The sacred chant Swamiye Sharanam Ayyappa expresses the devotee’s surrender to Bhagwan Ayyappa and remains at the heart of Ayyappa worship.
